PITO: TRIBAL SUMMIT

Apashee Art is honored to be part of the upcoming Tribal Summit at the Partners in the Outdoors Conference hosted by Colorado Parks and Wildlife on April 27, 2026. This statewide gathering brings together Tribal leaders, organizations, and communities working to shape a more inclusive and connected future for the outdoors.

Maxx, the artist behind Apashee Art, was also selected to create the official poster artwork for this year’s conference, specifically the first ever Tribal Summit; an opportunity to visually represent the spirit of the land, community, and Indigenous presence within outdoor spaces. Through this work, Apashee Art helps carry forward stories of connection, stewardship, and cultural identity for different generations.

As Apashee joins the Tribal Summit, the focus remains on uplifting Indigenous voices and creating space for meaningful dialogue around access, representation, and relationship to place. It’s both an honor and a responsibility—one that Maxx approaches through art, community, and storytelling. Come find her if you’re attending!
