Colorado’s People of the Sacred Land

I’m honored to be a featured artist in the upcoming exhibition Colorado’s People of the Sacred Land at the Museum of Boulder, opening April 24th. This show brings together Indigenous artists and community voices to reflect on the deep, ongoing relationship between Native people and this land, past, present, and future.

The exhibition is rooted in truth-telling, shaped in part by the work of the Truth, Restoration, and Education Commission (TREC), and explores the realities of displacement, resilience, and cultural survival here in Colorado. It’s not just about history—it’s about what we’re still carrying, still building, and still protecting.

My work in this show is part of that larger conversation. As an artist, I’m always thinking about connection to everything around me, to land, to identity, to community...and this exhibition creates space for those stories to be seen and felt in a real way.

This project is still coming together, and I’m excited to see it fully realized when it opens to the public on April 24th. It’s an important moment, not just for the artists involved, but for how Indigenous voices are being centered and shared here in Colorado. I'm stoked to be part of the next steps forward.
